TPC Monterey at Pasadera (formerly The Club at Pasadera) is a premier private golf club offering exceptional recreational and wellness experiences for our members. Our aquatics program is designed to support health, relaxation, and lifelong fitness in a welcoming, high-end club environment.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a patient, engaging, and knowledgeable Swim Instructor to work primarily with all members, from youth to senior. This role focuses on building confidence in the water, improving technique, and promoting safe, enjoyable aquatic exercise tailored to varying skill levels and physical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Provide private and small-group swim instruction for youth, adult, and senior members. 
  •  Adapt lessons to accommodate different skill levels, mobility needs, and comfort in the water. 
  •  Teach stroke development, water safety, and low-impact aquatic fitness techniques. 
  •  Create a supportive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment. 
  •  Monitor pool safety and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies.
  •  Maintain a clean and organized pool deck and teaching area. 
  •  Communicate clearly with members regarding progress, goals, and scheduling. 

Physical Requirements:
  •  Ability to be in the water for extended periods. 
  •  Ability to demonstrate swim techniques and assist participants when needed. 
  •  Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. 

Qualifications:
  •  Previous swim instruction experience required (experience with adults/seniors strongly preferred). 
  •  Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (Lifeguard certification a plus). 
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  •  Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style. 
  •  Ability to build rapport with members and create a comfortable learning environment. 
  •  Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. 

Preferred Experience:
  •  Background in aquatics therapy, senior fitness, or rehabilitation.
  •  Experience working in a private club or hospitality setting.
 
Pay:
  •  Swim Instructor position pays $16.90/hour, plus commissions on private lessons.
